Welcome to Thunder Bay Addiction Centres
We are an opiate addiction treatment centre with two locations in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Both locations include an on-site pharmacy and clinic. Please be advised that you must wear a mask at all times when inside our facilities, and we advise you to practice frequent hand washing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

An estimated 20,000 people in Ontario have an opioid addiction. Dealing with this issue requires resources, patience and care. While the roots of the problem are complex, the facts speak for themselves. This is not just about heroin. Most people currently seeking treatment for opioid addiction are using prescription medications, obtained either legally or illegally. Many who experience opioid addiction are reluctant to seek help; those who do often fail to get the treatment and support they need. With two different clinics in the Thunder Bay area, knowledgeable staff and a well equipped pharmacy, we are sure that your experience with Thunder Bay Addiction Centres will be a positive one. Methadone HCl
Methadone is a long acting opioid (24 - 36 hours) that helps manage cravings and alleviates symptoms of withdrawal. Methadone maintenance treatment helps patients return to healthy and productive lives.

Suboxone
Buprenorphine/Naloxone is a combination medication that includes both buprenorphine and naloxone. When combined with medical and supportive care, buprenorphine and methadone can be equally effective for opioid addiction.

Naloxone kits
A naxolone kit is a portable pouch that contains an opioid antidote that can be used to temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. If you or a loved one use opioids, it can be life-saving to have on hand in case of an accidental overdose. You can pick up a free naxolone kit at both TBAC locations.
